The Foundation IX-X Course is a prestigious organization responsible for conducting interviews and selections for prospective officers in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The SSB employs a standardized evaluation system to determine the suitability of candidates. The SSB Interview Process spans five days and involves a series of tests and tasks to assess the eligibility of candidates. The SSB interview is divided into two stages, with Stage A being a prerequisite for progressing to Stage B.
Candidates seeking entry into the Foundation, CDS, and Air Force must achieve minimum qualifying scores in both the written and Officer Potentiality tests. For Air Force applicants, additional assessments include the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) and the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT). The PABT is exclusively for Air Force applicants. It is also conducted for all SSB-qualified candidates who have Air Force as one of their preferences.
